Here at Albert’s Dog Grooming Walthamstow, we treat each dog and puppy as an individual. Regardless of whether dogs are the same breed, age or gender, no two coats are the same. For example, hand stripping can be perfect for some but for not for others.
CAN YOU DO A MONTH’S BRUSHING IN 2 HOURS?
Let’s be honest, in a typical dogs’ life, rolling around, going for walks, being loved and meeting up with pals is going to play havoc with their coats (not to mention the dreaded malting!). Imagine doing all of that and ignoring your own hair for a month! Keeping on top of brushing your dog’s coat will enable our groomers to provide the most efficient and highest quality treatment. So can you do a month’s brushing in 2 hours? NO! Between your appointments for the Full Works at Albert’s Dog Grooming, keep on brushing your dog regularly to help with superior, quality dog grooming!
WE LOVE MEETING YOUR NEW PUPS AND THOSE GORGEOUS RESCUE DOGS!
It’s great to socialise your young pup and that includes introducing your little one to the world of puppy grooming. When your puppy is 12 weeks – 6 months old and all vaccinations have been administered, make an appointment and we’ll gently introduce the variety of treatments. If you’ve recently provided a forever home to a rescue dog (bravo!) or if you’re a first time dog owner, please don’t hesitate to call us up and let us know; we’re here to help. In our book, there’s no such thing as a stupid question in and we want to give you confidence so your pup feels comfortable in the grooming environment. We recommend you start with 3 sessions but recognise this will vary pup to pup. We start with a brush, a little trim, followed by an introduction to a tooth brush (essential to prevent future dental issues) – read more.

We strongly believe in natural treatments and the products we use are organic, vegan and tested on humans (never animals!). We offer everything from a thorough Wash & Brush to a full top to tail groom, or a simple tooth brush to a complete facial and fresh breath treatment.

The Full Works
from £52

Everything you need to make your dog look and feel great! We use Milly’s shampoo and conditioner; organic, vegan and never tested on animals. Each appointment is a bespoke experience and whether your four legged friend has been galloping through muddy fields or strutting along Walthamstow high street looking divine, we will tailor make the session and ensure your pet receives the pamper it deserves! With this in mind, please use the pricing as an entry point – if you haven’t managed to brush your dog regularly and that coat is tangled or your pet is just having “one of those days”, it could take longer than the 2 hours so the final cost may differ.

Give your dog that fresh feeling with a wash, dry and brush! This is an ideal treatment for your four legged friend between their Full Works appointments and during malting. Why not maintain your dogs’ style and pizazz with a quick face trim for an additional £10? Vanity aside this really does help the upkeep of your dogs’ shape and hair condition. Don’t forget, a nail trim is included in this Wash & Brush service.

Puppy Groom or Rescue Dog

Exclusively for the newest members of the pack, our Puppy Grooming or Rescue Dog Grooming Treatment is an introduction to a calm and happy life of grooming. Once pups and dogs are fully vaccinated and allowed into the outside world, book our 3 week Puppy Grooming Introduction Treatment. Safe in our calm, professional and relaxed salon, your puppy will be gently washed, dried and brushed, with a trim to the face, feet and hygiene area too.
If you’re a first time owner of a puppy or an older dog, our Puppy Grooming First Time Owner Introductory Treatment is highly recommend to familiarise you and, your dog with the process. Regular treatments will not only help your new buddy but will also remove any anxieties you may have about coming to the groomers – this new found confidence will transfer to your dog too.
After the grand old age of 6 months, puppies are then able to enjoy the rest of our treatment menu such as; Full Works, Wash & Brush. As puppies are all very different, and some may be ready for a Teeth Clean from £30 or,
a nail trim from £10

Hand Stripping from £70 per session
Allow 2 hours (coat condition and temperament could impact time and price and an additional chargeable session, or longer time in the salon maybe required)
Although the name may sound a little medieval, this is a specialist technique where we remove the guard hairs from your dogs’ coat. It’s relevant to most Terriers, Schnauzers and some silky breeds too.
Why do we do it? Well, it’s done to maintain the colour and texture of your dogs’ coat and is best carried out every 6-12 weeks. If the coat is left and not regularly groomed, there will be a lot more issues for your dog during its treatment. If this is the case, please bare in mind that it could take longer than 2 hours or require an additional chargeable session.
Please note that dogs which have been neutered may not be suitable as changes in their hormones can affect their coat’s regrowth (colour and texture), making it an uncomfortable technique for the dog.

A Blueberry Facial is a great way of getting rid of stains (smells divine) and, enhancing your dog’s coat.
In between Teeth Cleaning treatments, Fresh Breath will keep your dog’s breath fresher for longer making hugs and kisses so much more enjoyable!
